Production service & lighting — Seoul, Korea

We don't book crews. We are the crew.

GripDude is run by working gaffers with our own kit, trucks and rental house. From London to LA to Tokyo — productions shoot in Korea with us, the way they shoot at home.

Maker, not middleman

Most agencies connect you to crews. GripDude is the crew.

Most coordination agencies connect you to crews. GripDude is the crew. Run by working gaffers with our own equipment, trucks, and rental house, we handle everything from your kit list to your call sheet, your location to your invoice — in your language, at your standard, at the number we agreed. That's why teams from London to LA to Tokyo come back.

Run by working gaffers

Korea's lighting inventory differs from home — in brands, stock and naming. Send your kit list, references and moodboards exactly as they are: we translate them into the right fixtures and crew for local conditions, set up and ready to shoot.

GripDude 3.5-ton liftgate production truck02

Crew, kit and trucks under one roof

We own our lights, stands and textiles, run GripTools — our own rental house — and drive a 3.5-ton liftgate truck and a 1-ton to set. No re-brokered rentals, no stacked margins. One point of contact, one point of responsibility.

We speak your production language

Send your kit list as-is — super windup, mombo combo, cardellini, 12x12 unbleached muslin. We prep Schuko power, write bilingual call sheets and PPMs, invoice in GBP, USD, EUR or JPY and take Wise or SWIFT. Shoot in Korea the way you shoot at home.

Locations that trust us

Heritage hanok courtyards, cultural collaborators, spaces without a listing. Because we protect locations and keep our word, they open their doors when we call — and welcome us back. Your production gets the Korea that isn't in the database.

The number we agree is the number you pay.

Quotes split our services from third-party pass-throughs, so you see where every won goes. When a setup grows mid-shoot, we talk first — and we've absorbed gear rather than break an agreed number. That's how a first job becomes a standing relationship.

How it works

Three steps. No middle layer.

01

Send the brief

Treatment, moodboard, kit list — in whatever shape your gaffer wrote it. We read it the way a head of department reads it, and come back with questions that save money.

02

One quote, one thread

Services and pass-throughs split so you see the build. Then everything — crew, kit, trucks, locations, paperwork — lives in a single chat thread with the person who rigs it.

03

Shoot like you're home

English-speaking heads of department, your grip vocabulary in stock, Schuko power prepped, bilingual call sheets on time. Wrap, an invoice in your currency, and a team that answers next time too.
